Evidently, Palin is NOT smarter than a 3rd grader
In an interview that Sarah Palin gave yesterday in Colorado, she received a question from a third grader asking: "What does the VP do?" In typical Palin fashion, she gave the completely wrong answer saying the "Vice President is in charge of the Senate." Uh, WRONG. Palin=FAIL on that one. While it is true that the VP presides over the Senate during ceremonial occasions, he or she is NOT in charge of the Senate. I think this quote from Senate Majority leader Harry Reid (D-NV) pretty much sums it all up:

"This comment is all the more puzzling because this is at least the 2nd time she
has said this. Gov Palin needs to re-read or perhaps read for the first time the
Constitution. While the Vice President presides over the Senate, he or she is
not in charge of it. Article 1 says The Vice President of the United States
shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no vote, unless they be equally
divided."

Reason #7 Sarah Palin shouldn't be Veep
In front of a crowd in New Hampshire, she says that she's glad to be in the "northwest"... uh, last time I checked, NH was in the northeast. Glad she's got that whole geography thing down. Maybe the "lower 48" is all the same to her? You betch'ya!

Reason #5 Sarah Palin shouldn't be Veep
As governor of Alaska, she presented this opening statement to the Alaska Independence Party convention:

This group is a radical right-wing fringe political party in AK. They believe that Alaskans were deprived of their rights in 1958 and their stated goal is:

Until we as Alaskans receive our Ultimate Goal, the AIP will continue to strive to make Alaska a better place to live with less government interference in our everyday lives.
The Alaskan Independence Party's goal is the vote we were entitled to in 1958, one choice from among the following four alternatives:
1) Remain a Territory.
2) Become a separate and Independent Nation.
3) Accept Commonwealth status.
4) Become a State.
The call for this vote is in furtherance of the dream of the Alaskan Independence Party's founding father, Joe Vogler, which was for Alaskans to achieve independence under a minimal government, fully responsive to the people, promoting a peaceful and lawful means of resolving differences.

Some other fun quotes from their website:

"The biggest flaw we have in the present constitution is that it is a pure socialist document. Private property and individual rights are sacrificed to the collective government as a whole."
"The AIP supports the right of the individual to keep and bear arms.
Gun control is hitting your target."
"The AIP supports "Jobs for Alaskans...First!"
If you work in Alaska you should live in Alaska."

The list goes on and on. Oh, and by the way, Todd Palin is a member of AKIP.

Reason #4 Sarah Palin shouldn't be Veep
Sarah Palin is now saying the Katie Couric was unfair to the poor little girl from Alaska. In a post-debate interview with Faux News, she actually complains that Katie didn't ask the questions that she wanted to talk about. Which in Palin-speak means that Katie didn't ask the questions that she had memorized the answers to. As the Huffington Post points out:

"For the record, Couric asked her, among other things, what type of news sources she turns to for information, which Supreme Court decisions she disagreed with, why Alaska's proximity to Russia gave her foreign policy experience, her opinion of the bailout package for Wall Street, and where she thought Vice President Dick Cheney erred. Which one of those questions was designed to trip her up (as opposed to, say, give viewers a better sense of her character and views) is tough to ascertain.

Later in her interview with Cameron, Palin offered a sense of what she thinks would have been a fairer set of questions. Unsurprisingly, they all would have provided her the opportunity to rail against Obama."

Also in the clip she refers to herself self in the THIRD-PERSON. She also has the gall to say that because some remarks that Obama made about Afghanistan (which were taken out of context, btw) that he should be disqualified from being commander in chief. This woman has clearly gone off the deep end. Here's the clip:

Reason #3 Sarah Palin shouldn't be Veep
So we all know that Sarah Palin is a pro-life candidate, which is fine, she is entitled to her opinion. When asked about why Roe v. Wade is a bad decision, she can barely string 2 coherent thoughts together. When asked what other Supreme Court decisions she disagrees with, she can't name ONE. Not ONE. The Supreme Court has made thousands of rulings and the only one she knows about is Roe v. Wade. There was a particular case that was JUST before the Supreme Court that many Republicans consider a defeat. Especially those that want to be perceived as tough on terrorism. That case was Hamdan v. Rumsfeld. I am just thinking that a candidate that graduated from college with a political science minor and who is running for VP, might know more than one Supreme Court case. I guess not, in her case. Here is Palin's answer to Katie Couric:
